FUN FACT:

Bolton Metal created the alloy ingots that are inset in the Axemann Brewery bar.

tall dark & roasty

Titan Stout is dark and roasty with hints of coffee and chocolate. A thick, creamy head from the nitro pour makes this medium-bodied brew a pleasure to drink. Titan Stout proudly recognizes the history of the metal factory that is home to Axemann Brewery.

backstory

Titan Stout is named after the former and current name of the Brewery site.
  • 1915 - This property got its start as Alpha Metal Company, operating near McCoys Dam in Bellefonte producing large diameter brass rods.
  • 1917 - Reorganized as Titan Metal Company, the operation moved to the present site on Axemann Road.
  • 1925 - Reorganization occurred once more, resulting in Titan Manufacturing Company.1946 - Changes in ownership began.
  • 1959 - Titan Manufacturing Company changed its corporate name to Cerro de Pasco. Subsequent mergers, acquisitions, and name changes occurred (including Cerro Corporation and Cerro Metal Products) in the following years.
  • 1976 - Cerro was purchased by The Marmon Group of Chicago, IL.
  • 2007 - Assets were sold to the British firm of Bolton MKM, and the operation became Bolton Metal Products Company.
  • 2008 - Bolton closed the rod and wire manufacturing and announced the sale of the business and equipment. Bolton maintained a small low melting alloy production operation, which you can see at the front of our building.
  • 2012 - Bolton sold the assets to Navitus, LLC, an investment group composed of local companies Shaner Capital, LP, and G. M. McCrossin, Inc.  The site is now doing business as Titan Energy Park.
  • 2014 - The Titan Energy Park site was designated a Keystone Opportunity Expansion Zone (KOEZ) by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.
