backstory

​Our brewers spent years perfecting a beer for everyday excellence, and for excellence on every game day. And when neither an ale or a lager seemed to be the right fit for this vision, enter the kolsch! An interesting and refreshing style that exhibits some of the best characteristics of each with a perfect blend of crispness, lightness, and great flavor.  

​Axemann has released this beer only after years of testing and tweaking the recipe to ensure it is true to its heritage. To honor this effort, we will serve it German-style... in .2 liter glasses brought to your table in kolsch trays. And as a tribute to the brewery's original function as a metal factory, the kolsch trays were handcrafted by the owner and local engineers from copper pipes salvaged from the site.
