Axemann Brewery is a 27,000 square-foot production brewery and taproom located in a revitalized metal factory in Bellefonte, Centre County, PA. The design and construction of the facility were focused on repurposing existing metal works and features, paying respect to the site’s heritage. Original lights, windows, and even doors from the lockers used by the employees have found new practical uses while creating a cool industrial vibe. The atmosphere and spaciousness, large TVs and game area, and open-air seating overlooking a stream and active railroad combine to make Axemann a unique destination for craft beer lovers!
Axemann’s vision is to brew and serve quality beers true to regional origins, and the 30-barrel production operation specializes in European and American east and west coast styles. Blue Stripe - a Kolsch known for “everyday excellence” - is Axemann’s flagship beer. A variety of other styles are always on tap including lager, pilsner, stout, pale ale, black raspberry wheat ale, and several IPAs. Local ciders, wines, and spirits are also available along with local food vendors including an onsite kitchen and rotating food trucks.

From the Milk House to the Metal FactoryAxemann Brewery is the home of Blue Stripe beer, perfected as a home brew over the past six years in the Stahl barn milk house by Rod Stahl and Stephen Hirlinger. The brewing operation has continued to evolve, with several long standing varieties including an Oktoberfest and a stout. Demand and enthusiasm for the beer has grown as well, influencing Rod's decision to make the brewery official.
